The 2018 LoRa Alliance 10th All Members Meeting, Open House and Market Place will be taking place from June 4 to June 7at the Hyatt Regency in Vancouver, Canada. The event is not only a great opportunity to learn about successful and potential LoRaWANTM use cases, but also serves as a platform for LoRa Alliance ecosystem members’ products and demos.
The Open House and Market Place, which will specifically take place on June 6 and 7, will feature hands-on LoRaWANTM 101 sessions and technical presentations as well as an overview of LoRaWANTM and its promising future. This summer’s focus will be “how to achieve business value with LoRaWANTM”. Past events have proven to be successful in that they enable members to have an active role when it comes to positioning long-range low-power connectivity as an essential component for many IoT applications.
During the Lora Alliance Market Place, Occam Technology Group will showcase its OccamSmart line of IoT-enabling products, including the 8-Channel RF Concentrator for LoRa®-based networks and an Uplink Protocol Analyzer extension to the popular RF tool Wireshark. In addition, OccamSmart’s recently-launched mPCIe Smart Gateway Card, which enables low-power long-range capabilities to any gateway with an existing mPCIe slot, will also be showcased at the booth.
The LoRaWANTM specification is a Low Power, Wide Area (LPWA) networking protocol designed to wirelessly connect battery operated ‘things’ to the internet in regional, national or global networks, and targets key Internet of Things (IoT) requirements such as bi-directional communication, end-to-end security, mobility and localization services.
About LoRa Alliance
The LoRa Alliance is an open, nonprofit association that has grown to more than 500 members since its inception in March 2015, becoming one of the largest and fastest-growing alliances in the technology sector. Its members closely collaborate and share experiences to promote the LoRaWAN protocol as the leading open global standard for secure, carrier-grade IoT LPWAN connectivity. With the technical flexibility to address a broad range of IoT applications, both static and mobile, and a certification program to guarantee interoperability, the LoRaWAN protocol has already been deployed by major mobile network operators globally, with continuing wide expansion ongoing.
