Trinity Dragons Start off the VEX IQ Robotics 2017-2018 Season

Last week, the Trinity Dragons – 6430X robotics team started the middle school VEX IQ robotics 2017-2018 season in spectacular fashion with Teamwork Champion and Robot Skills Champion awards at the Tampa Bay Regional VEX IQ State Qualifier. This competition fosters student development of the teamwork, critical thinking, project management, and communication skills required to prepare them to become the next generation of innovators and problem solvers.

The team also participated in the Showdown in South Lake IQ tournament on October 14, taking home the Teamwork Champion and Robot Skills Champion awards once again.

Trinity Dragons – 6430X is presently ranked first in the State of Florida and third in the U.S. for Robot Skills. The team members are excited to kick off the season and learn more about STEM, programming, and robotics.

The VEX IQ Challenge, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, provides elementary and middle school students with exciting, open-ended robotics and research project challenges that enhance their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills through hands-on, student-centered learning. This competition fosters student development of the teamwork, critical thinking, project management, and communication skills required to prepare them to become the next generation of innovators and problem solvers.

About the Trinity Dragons

Trinity Dragons Robotics is a team of students with a love for robotics and the challenges that robotics brings. They compete in the VEX IQ competitions. The team consists of students in grades elementary through middle school.
