RAH-66

The RAH-66 is a stealth attack helicopter incorporating multiple techniques in order to reduce its radar cross-section (RCS) and other areas of visibility. Its outer surfaces are faceted and have radar-absorbent material (RAM) coatings and infrared-suppressant paint applied; with these measures, the Comanche’s RCS is 360 times smaller than the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter. The Comanche’s noise signature is noticeably quieter than comparative helicopters; this is partly achieved through the all-composite 5-blade main rotor and tail rotor assembly.

F-35 Lightning II

The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II is a family of single-seat, single-engine, fifth generation multi-role fighters performing ground attack, reconnaissance, and air defense missions with stealth capability.The F-35 has three main models; the F-35A is a conventional takeoff and landing variant, the F-35B is a short take off and vertical-landing variant, and the F-35C is a carrier-based variant.

MIM-104 Patriot

The MIM-104 Patriot is a surface-to-air missile (SAM) system, the primary of its kind used by the United States Army and several allied nations. It is manufactured by the Raytheon Company of the United States, and derives its name from the Radar component of the weapon system. The AN/MPQ-53 at the heart of the system is known as the “Phased Array Tracking Radar to Intercept on Target” or PATRIOT.

V-22 Osprey

The Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey is an American multi-mission, military, tilt-rotor aircraft with both a vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL), and short takeoff and landing (STOL) capability. It is designed to combine the functionality of a conventional helicopter with the long-range, high-speed cruise performance of a turboprop aircraft.

E-2D Hawkeye

The Northrop Grumman E-2D Hawkeye is an American all-weather, aircraft carrier-capable tactical airborne early warning (AEW) aircraft. The aircraft’s performance has been upgraded with the E-2B, and E-2C versions, where most of the changes were made to the radar and radio communications due to advances in electronic integrated circuits and other electronics.

X-45A

The Boeing X-45A air vehicle is of a swept-wing stealthy design and composite construction using foam matrix core and a composite fibre-reinforced epoxy skin. The fuselage carries two internally housed weapons bays and an internally mounted Honeywell F124-GA-100 non-afterburning turbofan engine. The engine, rated at 28kN, is equipped with a notched air intake and a two dimensionally yaw-vectoring nozzle exhaust.

X-47B

The Northrop Grumman X-47B is an American demonstration unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV) which first flew in 2011. The X-47 project began as part of DARPA’s J-UCAS program, and is now part of the United States Navy’s UCAS-D (Unmanned Combat Air System Demonstration) program, which aims to create a carrier-based unmanned aircraft.

The Lockheed Martin/Boeing F-22 Raptor is a single-seat, twin-engine fifth-generation supermaneuverable fighter aircraft that uses stealth technology. It was designed primarily as an air superiority fighter, but has additional capabilities that include ground attack, electronic warfare, and signals intelligence roles.

MRM-KE

Developed by Alliant Techsystems, this kinetic energy missile/projectile is designed for use as a high-velocity penetrator for line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight. The MRM makes use of multi-modal sensing systems for guidance including laser, millimeter wave, and environmental sensing.

AN/TPQ-47 Firefinder Block II Radar

The AN/TPQ-47 (Formerly AN/TPQ-37 P3I Block II) is the next generation Firefinder., replacing the AN/TPQ-37 antenna transceiver group (ATG) utilizing advanced technology which provides rapid and increased target location, improved accuracy, and target classification at greater ranges. This is a new capability to provide the warfighter continuous and responsive counterbattery target acquisition for all types and phases of military operations.

MCAFT Rocket

The Multiple Component ARMY Flight Test (MCAFT) program was successfully launched from Wallops Island. The launch was a demonstration mission that including experiments which examined the effects of microgravity on metastasizing cancer cells.
